Camp Solutionary

Camp Solutionary

July 22nd-26th

10 am - 3 pm daily

ages 12-16

$197/camp participant

*includes lunch each day

The future leaders of tomorrow are created today. At Camp Solutionary, campers will learn the importance of protecting our planet and those who call it home. The centerpiece of their week will be choosing an issue facing animals to learn more about, and, at the end of the week, taking an action of their choosing to start creating change. They will develop solutionary skills they can apply anywhere in their lives at every step of the way. Importantly, they will also explore mindfulness techniques to benefit their own well-being, and, of course, will enjoy time taking care of R2R’s animal residents.

Slots for camp are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. After completing the form below, you will hear from a member of the R2R team within one (1) business day at the email you provide. If you are offered a space at camp, you will have three (3) days to complete payment and the required forms, or you risk losing your child’s spot. Please check your spam folder if you do not see an email in your inbox.

We hope to see you at camp!

Scholarships

With the pandemic, rising inflation, and others, we understand that times are challenging for many in our area, but we never want cost to be a barrier to attending summer camp. As a result, we are pleased to offer four scholarships for our camps this summer for those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate. To apply, please have the camp participant write a short summary or paragraph sharing why R2R’s camp is important to them and why they want to attend.

We encourage applicants to write from the heart and share their story. Scholarship candidates will not be judged based on spelling, grammar, or sentence structure.

To apply, email anna@ridge2river.org. Please make sure to include the participant’s age and desired camp (Camp Compassion or Camp Solutionary). The deadline to apply for a scholarship is May 31st, 2024. All applicants will be notified of their status by June 7th, 2024.

Camp Compassion

July 8th-12th

10 am - 3 pm daily

ages 9-12

$197/camp participant

Imagine a world where compassion is spread between humans, animals, and the planet.

At Camp Compassion, we help children become citizens that make that world a reality. Campers will spend time with R2R’s animal residents, learn how to take care of them, and discuss how different species are the same and how they are different. They will be introduced to mindfulness and practice identifying their emotions. And, they will spread their artistic wings with creative thinking and drawing activities. Along the way, they will discover their own circle of compassion and learn how to spread kindness anywhere they go.

Slots for camp are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. After completing the form below, you will hear from a member of the R2R team within one (1) business day at the email you provide. Pride Night - *Cancelled

*This Event has been cancelled.*

Due to the Avian Influenza continuing to be present in the state of WA and with recent cases, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this event in order to keep our residents as safe as possible and limit their exposure to the virus.

We are truly sorry and saddened to have to make this decision. We appreciate your understanding and we hope we will be able to hold similar events in the near future.
