Volunteer

There is always something that needs doing at Ridge 2 River, and we love and appreciate volunteers, both on-site at the sanctuary and through our work in the organization.


Current Opportunities:

Sanctuary – Hands-on cleaning, interacting, snuggling and spending quality time with the animal residents.

Social Media - Helping run and manage our social media accounts.

Professional Skills/Experience – Professional skills or experience in any of the following:

  • Community Outreach and Organizing

  • Fundraising & Development

  • Event Coordination

  • Capacity Building

  • Language Translation

  • IT Support

  • Graphic Design & Marketing

Music – The animals enjoy a little live music as much as anyone, and we have to say: it sounds pretty great up here on the ridge.

Requirements:

  • A completed application and approved background check (no arrests for violence in the last 10 years, no arrests for theft/robbery in the last 5 years)

  • Volunteers up to and including 15 years of age must volunteer alongside a legal guardian

  • Volunteers age 16-17 years may volunteer with legal guardian consent

  • Attend a volunteer orientation

  • Complete necessary training
