After a lovely afternoon of tasting wine, a staff member at the winery overheard us talking about going home to put our birds to bed.

She asked if we wanted a rooster and said he would be ‘chicken soup’ if we didn’t take him…so of course we said, ”Yes!” Morgie was less than a year old. He’s not only one of the sweetest Roosters, but the sweetest birds I have ever met. The poor guy has had issue after issue, but is such a sweet boy and deals with all the medicines and care so well. He is the main protector of the bird yard, but works hand in hand with Gene, teaching him the rules of the roost, always leading them in for bed in the evenings.
