Gene

Gene was our first bird.

We fell in love with him after caretaking for our neighbors. His mate had passed away and he only had chickens to live with, so they were kind enough to let us have Gene and find some lady friends for him. He is a large boy who loves his food. He is a gentle soul who takes excellent care of his ladies. (Gene is fondly named after Anna’s late Uncle who was one of the most special people her life – all the other birds are appropriately named after some of the most important things to Gene).
