Chino

Chino is one of the biggest goats anyone has ever seen.

We found Chino as a stray on the side of the highway. He was thin, had a severe case of lice, and his hooves were an overgrown mess. He befriended me immediately and followed me like a dog into our van and we brought him home. He’s not one to always want to be petted but prefers people to be around as much as possible and will sometimes try to block you from leaving. He has a large personality to fit his size and prefers to be the center of attention. Sometimes he gets excited and can’t understand why humans don’t want to play by ramming heads and other times he can get a little heady and be a bit sassy trying to let you know he believes he’s in charge. He loves his food and will come running for treats. For the first few months Chino lived in our yard with our dogs, and he and Maya are still very good friends and love to play together.
