Mother’s Day Trees

Good Morning!
I am sitting here with Chino in his straw bed as I write this, as he lays quietly chewing his cud from breakfast. He is doing fine living in our yard, bonding and playing with our dogs more each day, but he is ready for a goat friend and to have his own home. He doesn't understand why the girls get to go inside to sleep and he doesn't. When I go inside he will follow me to the door and then stand there looking inside hoping maybe he will too be able to come in. Sometimes he will even stand in front of the door to block me from going inside. Therefore, I have been spending a lot of time sitting outside with him and giving him company. :) He has also become quite fond of Eric, who was even feeding him hay off his lap this weekend while I was away flying.
We continue to make great progress on Chino's area ~ thanks to Eric who has been working so hard on it. Eric found some great wood on craigslist that he was able to use to start Chino's house. Hopefully in the next year or so we will build a bigger barn for Chino & friends, but for now he will have a nice shelter that will then transform to a shade/snow shelter once the barn is in.
Eric bought me two beautiful trees for Mother's Day that we planted in Chino's pasture that are said to grow quickly and will provide ample shade. And of course, a blackberry bush, which is Chino's absolute favorite!
There are great Memorial Day sales starting on Wednesday that include fencing, gates, & wood ~ so we are hoping we can reach our goal before this weekend so we can purchase the rest of our materials and give Chino the home he deserves. Once we finish building his area we can get him a goat friend! YAY!!!
So, if you haven't donated yet and are able to, please do! And please Share far and wide to those that might be interested!

Thank you again SO much to everyone who has donated and shared thus far! We can't express how much it means to us and especially Chino to have your support. This wouldn't be possible without you. Thank you!
